Hi I currently live in Nagoya.
My colleagues told me that Fujinomiya trail is the closest from Nagoya.
Does anybody know how to get there by public transport?
I am not confident to drive in Japan so I would like to use train or bus.

    Thank you in advance!

I will suggest two ways using Shinkansen or JR, but JR takes much time and you need to change trains so many times that I don’t recommend although it’s cheaper than Shinkansen.

    • Nagoya Station (Shinkansen (Kodama))
    ↓ 1h30min
↓ 7,330 yen (one way ticket)
Shinfuji Station (Change to Fuji Kyuko Bus)
    ↓ 2h30min
↓ 2,380 yen (one way ticket) / 3,100 yen (round trip ticket)
↓ *Round trip ticket can only be purchased at the train station’s box-office
    ↓ window.
↓ *Timetable of bus from Shinfuji Station: 8:25, 10:25, 15:25
    Start point of Fujinomiya trail

    • Nagoya Station (JR)
    ↓ ↓
    Toyohashi Station ↓
    ↓ ↓ 4h26min
    Shizuoka Station ↓ 4,000 yen
    ↓ ↓
    Fuji Station ↓
    ↓ ↓
Fujinomiya Station (Change to Fuji Kyuko Bus)
    ↓ 2h
↓ 2,030 yen (one way ticket) / 3,100 yen (round trip ticket)
↓ *Timetable of bus from Fujinomiya Station: 9:00, 11:00, 16:00
    Start point of Fujinomiya trail
