Hi I will be in Japan in September, so I would like to climb Mt.Fuji.
Can we climb there in September? Is it going to be snow?
If possible, Do you know how busy there? I saw a photo, many people queue on the trail with no moving. Does it happen in Sep?

    Hi.
Officially, the climbing season of Mt. Fuji is until September 10, and after then almost of all the huts and public toilets upper 5th station will be closed.
Please find some more information as following website.

About snow on the mountain, it depends on the year. But usually receives the first snow around the end of September.
At the summit of Mt. Fuji, it is always freezing cold even in summer, so in any period it is essential to prepare the proper gear such as jackets and sweat shirts.

During the climbing season, yes, it’s really crowded as you saw the photos especially on weekends. However, in September, it seems that there are less people to climb and much more quiet.

    Regards.
