Why Proper Gear Matters

Although many people think of Mt. Fuji as a summer hike, temperatures near the summit can drop below 5°C (41°F), even in July and August. Strong winds, rain, and rapidly changing weather are common.

Wearing proper waterproof clothing and sturdy hiking boots is strongly recommended for both comfort and safety.
